Defend against double attack: moving away + blocking

This lesson teaches you another combined form of defending. This time, it is moving away plus blocking. Both in one move.

What do you have to do?

Defend against a double attack. Use moving away plus blocking.

White defends by moving the rook.
Where does it go to?
To the square between king and queen.
Check is blocked and the rook is safe.
Black could still take it, but that would be foolish.
It is defended by the king.
